Canopy tents of various colors are placed side by side.

When you’re the only business at the trade show or farmers’ market using a canopy tent for your booth, it’s easy to stand out in the crowd. Unfortunately, you won’t be the only one using this type of strategy. That’s why you need to go out of your way to achieve an eye-catching design when customizing your company’s tent. If you’re unsure how to go about doing this, read on. We have some tips here that’ll help you out.

Use Standout Colors

The first step in customizing your own canopy tent is picking a color scheme. Obviously, you’ll want to have it match your current brand theming in some way, but it’s okay to get a bit creative since the goal is to make your tent stand out. Usually, the most outstanding color schemes utilize bright or neon colors.

While those are effective, they’re overdone. You should try to find a color combination that no one else is using. For example, not many people use pastel colors anymore. While they might not be bright enough to draw attention immediately when all the booths around yours are bright and flashy, their toned-down appearance will actually help them look unique.

Add More Than a Logo

A picture is the only thing that stands out more than a unique color scheme. Even though your logo will catch some eyes on its own, that may not be enough. When designing your custom printed tent or canopy, you need to figure out what other images you can include that will get people to look over at your booth.

If your theme is “fun in the sun,” you should include some palm trees, ocean waves, and beaches in your design. The list of possibilities is endless. Of course, you don’t want to overload your tent because that might start to make it more of an eyesore to look at. However, there’s a happy medium that you can achieve here.

Utilize Custom-Designed Sidewalls

The one downside to canopy tents is the fact that you can only decorate their tops. This can be somewhat limiting, which is why you should add custom sidewalls to yours. These give you a lot more surface area to add creative designs that will be in locations that are easier for potential customers to see.

You can either use half walls or full-sized ones on the various sides of your tent. Full walls obviously give you a lot more space to work with, but half ones help your tent feel more open and less cramped. Of course, you could also use a combination of both.

Set Up Other Customized Displays

Even after you’ve done many things to attain an eye-catching design with your custom canopy tent, you may find that other booths have done the same thing, making yours less unique. That’s why you need to utilize customizable items that you can put on and around your tent. Two great examples are table covers and display signs. You’ll likely have a couple of tables in or around your tent that you can put these covers on, and you can attach signs to your tent or set them up nearby. Both these options will certainly get more people looking at you.
